I decided to end my last post of the year with probably the best gay man’s dating song EVER. If you’re kissing someone special tonight or just rocking out with your friends, remember that with love heaven truly can be a place on Earth.
For you trivia buffs, Carlisle’s husband (Morgan Mason) appears in the video with her. I included a great live performance of this song after the jump. Enjoy and Happy New Year!! Read more…

Jarrod and I discussed various spots for a drink, trying to figure out what was open during Shoulder Season when out of the blue:
“I know a party we can go to” Matt said. “It’s on Philadelphia St. and we could stop by for a drink or two.”
Everyone agreed to head over to the party. It was perfect timing because we could drop the car off at the house, then walk to the party and be car fee for the rest of the night. Matt and I walked a little ahead of Jarrod and Tyler on our way back to the car.
“Matt, I didn’t know you knew people in Rehoboth?”
“Well, I guess I do and I guess I don’t. The party is being given by Ramon. He and I dated for a while and we’re still friendly. I don’t hang out with him a lot but I got an invite to the party on Facebook. I didn’t mention it before because I wasn’t sure if you’d want to go.” Read more…
Situated right on Silver Lake with views of the Atlantic, the beach house in Rehoboth was a quaint Cap Cod with a master suite, two bedrooms, screened porch and a huge yard perfect for volleyball or playing catch. From the plush furniture, to the pantry stocked with organic lemonade and a dozen different bottles of vodka, everything about the house softly cooed, “relax.”
Matt and I were sprawled on the sofa reading the Rehoboth Beach Film Festival guide when Jarrod walked in wheeling a massive suitcase.
“Jarrod, why’d you bring so much stuff? We’re only here for a weekend” I said as I got up to give him a hug. Read more…
Sandra Nkaké is a French and Cameroonian singer with an amazing voice and captivating stage presence. I found her song Happy on a lounge mix and immediately fell in love with its melody. The song captures the push and pull of relationships very well, and as Nkaké sings the lyric “I want you in my life” you know that she means it.
You can download her latest album Mansaadi from Amazon. Her Facebook Page promises an international tour in 2011 so here’s hoping she pays a visit to the States.
I’m back from an enjoyable and relaxing vacation and can say that I’ve been to Joshua Tree Where the Streets Have No Name. I managed to stay off The Facebook and The Twatter on my trip, although I did pop on for Christmas Day and noticed that many of my friends in relationships got iPads from Santa.
What’s curious to me though is what those of you who are dating received as gifts. Was it what you wanted? Did someone spend a little too much or too little? Did he really get you a tree ornament and if so, did you call him on it? Please dish in the comments section.
I for one received a very interesting gift in the mail from my ex, Serge. Read more…
Hi folks! First off, let me thank all of you for pointing your web browser my way for the past several months. Either you guys really like my posts or I have very gracious friends. Either way, please keep reading and hitting that Like button to help spread the word about my blog.
Because you’ve been very loyal readers, I wanted to let you know that my publishing schedule is a little behind. You may recall that I started a piece last week about my date with a guy who has an STI. Because I’m all about truth, I’m waiting for my doctor to approve the medical information presented in the follow up post. Please look for it sometime next week.
And finally, I’ll be taking a break from the cold temps of DC for a land of more enjoyable weather next week. No, I will not be vacationing in the land of Promiscuity, but I will be somewhere poolside and plan on posting in between drinks.
You all liked the first one so much, that I went to more Holiday parties and asked for your thoughts on a second post. Remember to yell Judy Garland!
Judgy Wudgy: Judgy Wudgy was a dear, who sat at Holiday parties impaired. Judy Wudgy judged all the boys, and wondered why no one would play with his toys. Judgy Wudgy came to make, a resolution to one day stop being fake. And finally it came to be, Judy Wudgy met a boy and they both watched Glee. Read more…
I came across KatieKutthroat’s Needles and Pins shop on Etsy via a post on My Modern Met. Her cross stitch shop is a self described one stop shop for de-motivation, insulting and just plain vulgar cross stitching.
I fell in love with the Whore Island piece and had to have it. It sits prominently displayed in my kitchen, although some of you have joked that I should move it to the side of my front door. Anyway! I asked Katie about a discount for Kissing Kamal’s Favorite Things and she asked me if I wanted to see her cut a bitch. This fierce chick doesn’t give discounts but her stuff is very reasonably priced and she also sells do it yourself kits for those who need something for those long Metro rides home.
You can visit Katie’s shop here. Two more pics after the jump.
I’m wrapping up Kissing Kamal’s Favorite Things of 2010 today with one more favorite thing and an awesome discount!
I logged on to Facebook this past Sunday and came across the following recent activity from one of my ex-boyfriends, Derek:
The news of Derek and David’s engagement was a bit of a surprise but not totally out of the blue. Derek and David bought a house together last year and became the proud parents of two dogs earlier this year. I knew they were well on the road to a stable, long term relationship but seeing news of this delivered to me bright and early on Sunday with my cup of coffee definitely stirred up some emotions.
